WhistleBlower: Thomas Drake - "Snowden Saw What I Saw ..." |
|
- Thomas Drake, a whistle blowing predecessor of Snowden, published a written testimony in the Guardian News explaining how the information that Snowden is releasing is exactly what he saw during his time working at the NSA, and describes his involvement in "pre and post" 9/11 surveillance.
- Unlike Snowden Drake took up his concerns with the unconstitutionality of the NSA spying in accordance with the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act.He addressed directly, the highest levels of the NSA and made confessions as a material witness for two 9/11 congressional investigations.
- Thomas Drake claims that intelligence gathered from pre September 11th surveillance could have prevented the terror attacks that brought down three World Trade Center skyscrapers; IF the NSA would have just disclosed it with other agencies.
- According to Drake; the NSA’s only goal is to gather as much INFO (on U.S. citizens) as they possibly can. Keeping the American people safe is not exactly on their radar.

- Maxine Waters : 07 Feb 2013
- Waters said, “I think some people are missing something here. The president has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life.
- “That’s going to be very, very powerful. That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before,” she continued.
- “And whoever runs for president on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get around it. And he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place,” she said.

- All That Data Being Collected (in the name of terrorism) and the Billion Dollar Utah Central Data Collection Faciility exists For A Reason ... Question is; WHAT REASON?
- Generally speaking, In a Surveillance State (or under such a regime); data collection is crucial for control of an overgrown & potentially "unruly" populace. It permits "troublemakers" & "political dissidents" to be weeded out & "dealt with" ... it permits the implementation of "targeted control" as "needed" or "required".
Combined with the existence of all those FEMA camps ... one might begin to wonder?
- Note: The massive Data collecting actually began under the Clinton Administration & the auspices of Hillary Clinton.

Some Quotes From "1984"
- “In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
- “Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. ”
- “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”
- “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”
- "Even if you are a minority of one it does not make you wrong".--
“Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.”
- “Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”
- “But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.”
- “People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”
- “Until they became conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.”
- The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power.
The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal.
We are not like that. We know what no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of power is power.

- 1984: A world of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, and public mind control, dictated by a political system under the control of a privileged Inner Party elite that persecutes all individualism and independent thinking as "thoughtcrimes". Headed by Big Brother, through an intense cult of personality; Big Brother and "The Party" justify their rule in the name of a supposed "greater good".
- The protagonist of the novel, Winston Smith, is a member of the Outer Party & is responsible for propaganda and historical revisionism (to re-write past newspaper articles so that the historical record always supports the current party line). Though good at his job; he secretly hates the Party and dreams of rebellion against Big Brother.
