• Pluto signifies "Metamorphosis" ... transforming from one thing to another but staying within the same original construct.   It implies though, that once the change occurs, there is no going back to "the way things were".
  
  
• Pluto also rules Explosive Changes & Revolution or Revolutionary Changes.  Those changes then "explode" through (or in the manner of) the sign Pluto is in.
  
  
• The Election of President Obama in 2008 would definitely qualify as "explosive or revolutionary change" 
  
  
  However:  For Comparison's Sake ... Take the prior Transit of Pluto Through Sagittarius... what should it have signified?
  
  
• During the previous Sagittarian Transit of Pluto ... which Pluto entered on Jan. 18th, 1995 (Pluto retrograded in April  then settled in on Nov.11th, 1995) there should have been events  marked by:

  4. "Injurious or Permanent  Wounds"

  3. The World Trade Organization (WTO) replaces GATT, Austria, Finland & Sweden join the EU and then President Clinton invokes the "Emergency Powers Act" to Bail Mexico out of a financial collapse
  4. Barings Bank collapsed due to illicit speculation on the Tokyo Stock Exchange while the Dow closed above 4000 and 5000  for the first time.
     
     
  5. Mississippi finally ratifies the 13th amendment to abolish slavery ... becoming the last state to do so.  The other states ratified the 13th amendment in 1865.
     
     
  6. The Oklahoma City bombing occurred.
     
     
  7. Monica Lewinsky & Impeachment of President Clinton
     
     
  8.  The war in Bosnia

• Right now Uranus and Neptune are in Mutual Reception.  That will end temporarily when Uranus enters Aries in May of 2010 but will begin again when Uranus re-enters Pisces on August 15th, of 2010.  That particular Mutual Reception will finally end on March 13th of 2011 when Uranus again enters Aries ... and stays there a while.
