McConnell says BOTH planes were equipped with a device that would have allowed their respective airlines to override ANYTHING the pilots would have done and land those planes safely ... anywhere they needed to.
On December 10, 2006, Field McConnell reported the illegal modification on Boeing aircraft to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Northwest Airlines, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), NORAD and the USNA Superintendent.
Field McConnell filed Civil Case 3:07-cv-24 at the District Court, District of North Dakota on the 27th of February, 2007. The case is titled 'FIELD MCCONNELL v. ALPA and BOEING'.
Boeing admitted on March 3, 2007 the existence of the Boeing Uninterruptible Autopilot. To date, 9 February, 2012, Airline Pilots Association (ALPA) has suppressed this information.
Field McConnell retired March 13, 2007 to preserve his EXPERT WITNESS VALUE in US District Courts. Civil Case 3:07-cv-49 HAWKS CAFE v. GLOBAL GUARDIANS was filed on May Day, May 1, 2007 in District Court, District of North Dakota.
The live-in girlfriend (a teacher) was Lubitz's fiancée ... she was pregnant ... they were supposed to get married in 2016 ... they had a fight ... they broke up the day or two before the crash (said he was too controlling & had a temper)
The "vision problem" was a torn retina (not psychosomatic then?).
So the guy has a torn retina and shouldn't have flown 'til it healed. He and his pregnant live-in girlfriend/fiancée had a fight ... yeah ... sure, that's reason enought to go out, crash a plane & kill 149 people.

More Conflicting Information
Lubitz grew up in Montabaur & worked part time as a cook at Burger King around 2007 or 2008. The Burger King manager there; one Detlef Adolf, described Lubitz as a reliable and punctual employee during his time there.
Manager Adolf ALSO SAID ... While there, Mr. Lubitz became romantically involved with a young blond-haired woman who worked at the counter. This "Burger King" live-in girlfriend is apparently the REAL "longtime girlfriend".
An official with knowledge of the investigation said that at the time of the crash, Lubitz was still dating his Burger King live-in girlfriend.....
... and THAT girlfriend's name ... was not only the same name given by Mr. Adolf ... but was also the name he said was "written beside Mr. Lubitz's on the Düsseldorf apartment's mailbox".
The German newspaper Bild published an interview with a DIFFERENT woman, the flight attendant who said she had dated Mr. Lubitz last year. The woman, whio (speaking under the name of "Marie W"), described him as unstable and quoted him as saying that someday he would “do something that will change the entire system and everyone will know my name and remember it.” (See Below panel)
Lubitz had sought help for vision problems in the weeks leading up to the crash despite being deemed 'fit to fly' by the airline which carries out strict physical and psychological testing.
SO FOR SOME REASON THAT WAS APPARENTLY "PSYCHOSOMATIC" (all in his head); Lubitz believed he was having VISION PROBLEMS.... he 'was suffering from 'serious psychosomatic illness' .
'...he would wake up from nightmares screaming ‘we’re going down’
Met Lubitz when the pair flew together across Europe and said they dated for five months last year... he told her:
‘One day I will do something that will change the whole system, and then all will know my name and remember it.’
Germanwings spokesman stressed the company was unaware of any medical notes and said it had been Lubitz's responsibility to tell his employers he was unfit to fly.
QUESTION: So, Germanwings was relying on potentially unstable people to let the airlines know they were unstable?
Lubitz had been described as ‘unflyable’ while at flying school and had been downgraded on several occasions due to depression.
He had received psychiatric treatment for an 18-month period, according to reports.
As investigators continue to scour his complicated background, it also emerged that the fitness fanatic was receiving treatment for his mental health issues and apparently feared his flying licence would be taken away if his airline learned the extent of his psychological breakdown.

A website, Roman Catholic Imperialist.blogspot.com, claimed he was a convert who committed jihad. The evidence was this:
It was said that Lubitz had a Muslim girlfriend. It is unclear if she was still dating Lubitz at the time of the crash. It is unclear if he met the woman through his Muslims friends.
One said that Lubitz had broken off the relationship after he pledged to commit Jihad for Allah. [News media are reporting that he just split up with his girlfriend. They were supposed to marry next year.]
We do know that Lubitz trained at the Lufthansa Flight Training School in Bremen, Germany. Bremen is home to the Mosque Masjidu-l-Furqan Mosque: This Mosque was raided by the police in December 2014
BERLIN, Dec 5 (KUNA) — German authorities have closed a mosque in the northern city of Bremen, after it was accused of encouraging youth to join the extremist Islamic State group (known as ISIL), which is carrying out violent killings across Syria and Iraq.
In unprecedented circumstances, more than 100 German police personnel carried out a search of Masjidu-l-Furqan and its accompanying cultural office, which had both been under police radar since 2007. Other evidence was that the raid and closure of the mosque set him off but there is no evidence listed.
The article refers back to his break in training six years ago as a time when he could have converted to Islam though reports are Lubitz was depressed. This article quotes his friends as saying he was not depressed and he was happy at the time of his death. The post also refers to the mysterious and significant object police find.
NOTE: This article does not include links but it appears to have come from a website, michael-mannheiimer.net. The stories are almost identical. It’s hard to read the Mannheimer site because it’s getting such heavy traffic. Mannheimer is a writer for German-PI (Politically Incorrect).

Michael Mannheimer - 26. March 2015 - Mannheimer says that all evidence indicates Lebitz converted to Islam during his leave six year ago but if that is so, why doesn’t he produce the evidence or even state what that evidence is? The search is now on for the girlfriend.
Supposedly, Lebitz is tied to a Muslim Facebook page, but that only comes from a commenter on the spiesa.com article. All others who have seen the Lebitz Facebook page have not mentioned any link to Islam.
Killer Alps pilot Andreas Lubitz was receiving psychiatric treatment until the day he smashed Germanwings Airbus into mountainside - as claims emerge he was dumped by girlfriend.
Lubitz had continued to receive mental health support up until this week's crash (As well as having been signed off from training with depression in 2008).
German newspaper Bild also reported that he was in the middle of the 'relationship crisis' with his girlfriend in the weeks before the crash and he may have been struggling to cope with a break-up.
The new information emerged just hours after police investigating the disaster began a four-hour search of Lubitz's flat, which he is said to have shared with a girlfriend.

Lubitz was an avid runner who often took part in local races, according to public records. In 2007, Lubitz came 72nd out of 780 participants in a 10-kilometre New Year’s week run in Montabaur, racing alongside his then 54-year-old father, Günter Lubitz, according to results posted by the organisers on its website that year.
Lubitz ran the Lufthansa Frankfurt half-marathon in 2013, 2012 and 2011 alongside his father, finishing in times varying from just under 1 hour 49 to 1 hour 37 minutes, according to results published online.
On his Facebook profile, he said he was especially interested in the A320 and followed pilot's chatrooms in which they discussed technical aspects and different scenarios. His religion is not yet known.
The "Lone Nut" Theory Again?
The mother of a schoolmate told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (that Lubitz had told her daughter) he had taken a break from his pilot training because he was suffering from depression. "Apparently he had a burnout, he was in depression".
She said her daughter had seen him again just before Christmas and that he had appeared normal. She added he was a "lovely boy". "He had a good family background," she told the paper.
Johannes Rossbach, 23, who lives two doors away from Lubitz, said he would regularly see Lubitz jogging through the neighbourhood's quiet streets. Mr Rossbach said: "He was very polite. He would always say hello and goodbye. There certainly seemed nothing out of the ordinary about him."

The plane had flown from Dusseldorf to Barcelona and was on a return FROM Barcelona to Dusseldorf.
Plane had received a maintenance inspection in Dusseldorf on March 23rd, 2015 by Lufthansa.
It is surmised that something "catastrophic" happened one minute after achieving cruising altitude. At this point, computer malfunction is suspected. The plane descended for 8 minutes before crashing. Cruising altitude was attained at 10:45 AM CET; an apparently controlled descent began at 10:46 AM CET & crashed at 10:53 AM CET (implication is plane was on autopilot). B U T: 8 minutes is plenty of time for SOMEBODY in the cockpit to have said SOMETHING to Officials on the ground.
The school children were teens from a german high school returning from a field trip with their teachers; the students were mostly girls.

FLIGHT #9525 UPDATE: Cockpit voice recorder indicated one pilot left the cockpit before the plane’s descent and was unable to get back in.
A senior military official involved in the investigation described “very smooth, very cool” conversation between the pilots during the early part of the flight from Barcelona to Düsseldorf. Then, one of the pilots left the cockpit ....
“The guy outside is knocking lightly on the door and there is no answer,” the investigator said. “And then he hits the door stronger and no answer. There is never an answer.” - “You can hear he is trying to smash the door down.”
“We don’t know yet the reason why one of the guys went out,” - “But what is sure is that at the very end of the flight, the pilot in the cockpit is alone and does NOT open the door.” said the official, who requested anonymity because the investigation is continuing.
.... this info is similar to info regarding the crashes of SilkAir Flight 185 and EgyptAir Flight 990; which are believed to be caused by intentional actions of a flight crew member.
NOTE: One "earwitness" to the crash reports hearing 2 distinct explosions lasting for 8 seconds BEFORE the crash itself.
Spokeswoman Jen Psaki said officials have confirmed that Americans Yvonne Selke and her daughter, Emily, were among those killed in the crash. Yvonne Selke was a long time employee of Booz Allen (defense contractor); she worked as a National Geo-spatial Intel SAT map specialist (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency or: NGIA).
(Booz Allen is a Government contractor: technology & management consulting co. founded in 1914 (one year after the Federal Reserve) ... owned by The Carlyle Group; acquired by PricewaterhouseCoopers and is now known as "Strategy&". Booz Allen began trading on the NYSE: 02 Jan 2014.
