What Happened?
In the Pre-Dawn Hours, a small improvised explosive device was set off; where earlier it had been placed/positioned on a bench. The time for this explosion is being given as 3:30 AM. The exact coordinates of the Starbucks is listed on the Image above. Residents in the area were awakened by what they describe as "an earthquake". In fact, dozens of the area residents evacuated their apartments.
- Detectives on the scene described the device as being "low grade".
- So far no witnesses have reported seeing anyone in the area.
- In the 2008 Times Square Bombing, and in 2 consulate bombings; a lone cyclist was reported in the area.
- Windows were blown out, but there was no damage to the inside of the Starbucks store and no one was reported injured.
The major reaction to this event seems to have been; the fear expressed and experienced by the area residents... the damage to Starbucks, and conjecture that this is event might be connected to earlier bombings.

was bombed in Times Square

There have also been 2 consulate bombings (Mexican & British).
All of these events have taken place in the pre-dawn hours.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for any of these events.
Question: Might they be connected?

UPDATE 07-16-2009:
The Perpetrator has been caught. He had a fixation with the role of Brad Pitt in
"Fight Club".
This "Fight Club wanna be" had even formed his own version of a "Fight Club" and intended to
"strike a blow against corporate America"
via "Starbucks".
The Dial Chart speaks of an idealogical group (the Fight Club) that allows for violence.
