Typhoon Ketsana has inundated the Philippines; Sept. 27/28th.
13 inches of rainfall fell in 6 hours. Manila received over 20 inches of rain. 300 are homeless and several killed.
The worse flooding for Manila in 42 years.
Manila is home to more than 11 million people.
This Storm is now headed across the South China Sea and is expected to make landfall in Vietnam.
160 Dead & Missing so far. The worse flooding in 42 years. Army troops, police & civilian volunteers rescued 5,000 people from roof-tops & from tops of buses.
Landslides in northern Pampanga and Bulacan Provinces.
Rescuers are dying trying to save villagers.
More than a month's worth of rain fell in just 12 hours. Landslides have killed at least 52 people. Some marooned people are even hanging onto high-voltage power line poles.
300,000 people have been affected by "Ketsana".
"We're back to zero" said one Marikina resident. Mud covers everything. Distress calls and e-mails came from thousands of residents in Manila, the airport was shut down for several hours. Garbage fills the drains and waterways.
